Sausage & Rice Casserole

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 2 lbs browned & drained lamb sausage (i use 1 hot & 1 mild)
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/3 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup shredded american cheese (sometimes i use mild cheddar)
  • 1 (3 ounce) can mushroom pieces, do not drain
  • 1 (2 ounce) jar chopped pimiento, drained
  • 2 cups cooked wild rice
  • 2 cups cooked rice

Recipe

  • 1 mix all ingredients together in a 9 x 13 pan.
  • 2 bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes.
  • 3 sprinkle with shredded cheese as soon as comes out of oven.
  • 4 this is good served with a salad and french bread.
