One-pan Chops And Rice

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 lamb chops (1/2 inch thick)
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup celery, diced
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 1 (10 ounce) package frozen peas, thawed

Recipe

  • 1 sprinkle chops with salt and pepper; brown in oil in 10-inch skillet. remove chops.
  • 2 brown onion and celery in skillet drippings; add water, sugar, salt & tomato sauce. bring to boil. stir in rice.
  • 3 place chops in rice mixture; cover tightly; simmer 30 minutes.
  • 4 add peas; cover; simmer 15 more minutes or until chops are done.
