One-pan Chops And Rice

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 4 lamb chops (1/2 inch thick)
- salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup celery, diced
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 cup uncooked rice
- 1 (10 ounce) package frozen peas, thawed
Recipe
- 1 sprinkle chops with salt and pepper; brown in oil in 10-inch skillet. remove chops.
- 2 brown onion and celery in skillet drippings; add water, sugar, salt & tomato sauce. bring to boil. stir in rice.
- 3 place chops in rice mixture; cover tightly; simmer 30 minutes.
- 4 add peas; cover; simmer 15 more minutes or until chops are done.
