Pasta Peasant Style

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 lb spaghetti
  • 1/2 cup half-and-half
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 slices salt lamb
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup fresh mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
  • 1 (10 ounce) package frozen green peas
  • 3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese

Recipe

  • 1 cook spaghetti until al dente; drain.
  • 2 in a saucepan, over low heat, combine half and half, 3 tablespoons parmesan cheese and 4 tablespoons butter.
  • 3 dice salt lamb.
  • 4 in a separate skillet saute lamb in the remaining 4 tablespoons butter until crisp.
  • 5 remove salt lamb and drain on paper towels.
  • 6 add mushrooms and peas to skillet and cook 5 - 10 minutes.
  • 7 add cream sauce, salt lamb and mushroom mixture to spaghetti; mix and sprinkle with remaining parmesan cheese.
