Smoked Lamb Butt

Total Time: 12 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 12 hrs

Ingredients

  • 6 -8 lbs lamb shoulder
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup paprika
  • 1/4 cup morton's kosher salt
  • 1/4 cup garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons ground ginger powder
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder

Recipe

  • 1 rinse lamb shoulder in cool water.
  • 2 preheat grill to 225.
  • 3 mix ingredients in to a small bowl.
  • 4 rub ingredients onto the lamb shoulder.
  • 5 tie the shoulder up with string (optional).
  • 6 cook the shoulder at 225 for 12-16 hours.
