Sausage-brown Rice Casserole

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 25 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 lb sausage
  • 2 cups cooked brown rice
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 stalk celery, chopped
  • 1/8 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1/2 cup shredded american cheese

Recipe

  • 1 cook& stir sausage in dutch oven until brown; drain.
  • 2 stir in rice, milk, celery, green pepper, onion, soup and mushrooms.
  • 3 pour into ungreased 2 quart casserole and sprinkle with cheese.
  • 4 cook uncovered in 350°f oven until center is bubbly, about 45 minutes.
