Saucy Meatball Mania (the Best Meatballs!)

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground lamb
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder (optional)
  • 1 large egg
  • olive oil
  • 32 ounces tomatoes
  • 1 bunch of chopped oregano, and
  • fresh basil
  • grated cheese (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 wash hands.
  • 2 place all ingregients in a large mixing bowl.
  • 3 combine with hands to mix everything together.
  • 4 make small evenly shaped rolled balls,set to one side (they can be left in fridge to firm up).
  • 5 heat a frying pan with 1tbsp olive oil.
  • 6 when pan is hot, place meatballs inside.
  • 7 when meatballs are throughly cooked turn down the heat to low-medium.
  • 8 add cans of tomatoes rest of garlic cloves.oregano.basil.
  • 9 season with salt and pepper.
  • 10 gently stir contents.
  • 11 serve on a bed of spaghetti and sprinkle meatballs with some grated cheese.
