Simple Red Beans And Rice

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 lb kielbasa, cut into 1/4 inch slices
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, pressed
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 (15 1/2 ounce) cans red beans, drained
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 cups brown rice, cooked

Recipe

  • 1 in a skillet cook sliced sausage for about 2 minutes.
  • 2 add onion, garlic, and bell pepper, and saute till veggies are tender.
  • 3 add beans and tomatoes with thier juice.
  • 4 season with thyme, caynne, and salt and pepper to taste.
