Quiche Lorraine

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 pie crust (store-bought or handmade)
  • 1/2 lb bacon
  • 1/3 lb ham slices
  • 1/2 lb gruyere cheese, grated
  • 4 eggs
  • 14 ounces heavy cream
  • 2 pinches paprika
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 place the pie crust in a large tart pan. you may have to roll out a store-bought crust to fit. place it in the refrigerator.
  • 3 cut up the bacon into small pieces. in saucepan, boil the bacon for 1 minute and remove it. in a frying pan, fry the bacon for 5 minutes. place the bacon bits on a paper towl.
  • 4 in a mixing bowl, beat the eggs with the cream, paprika, salt and pepper. add the bacon and ham.
  • 5 put the egg mixture into the tart pan. cover with the cheese.
  • 6 bake for 40 minutes.
  • 7 eat at room-temperature or cold.
