Quiche Lorraine

Ingredients

- 1 pie crust (store-bought or handmade)
- 1/2 lb bacon
- 1/3 lb ham slices
- 1/2 lb gruyere cheese, grated
- 4 eggs
- 14 ounces heavy cream
- 2 pinches paprika
- salt and pepper
Recipe
- 1 preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- 2 place the pie crust in a large tart pan. you may have to roll out a store-bought crust to fit. place it in the refrigerator.
- 3 cut up the bacon into small pieces. in saucepan, boil the bacon for 1 minute and remove it. in a frying pan, fry the bacon for 5 minutes. place the bacon bits on a paper towl.
- 4 in a mixing bowl, beat the eggs with the cream, paprika, salt and pepper. add the bacon and ham.
- 5 put the egg mixture into the tart pan. cover with the cheese.
- 6 bake for 40 minutes.
- 7 eat at room-temperature or cold.
