Sausage Ball Appetizers

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 11 ounces red cinnamon candies
  • 1 lb sausage, cooked/drained/crumbled
  • 6 -8 slices bread
  • 1 pint applesauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sage

Recipe

  • 1 toast bread and crumble finely.
  • 2 combine crumbs with sausage and sage.
  • 3 form into balls about the size of golfballs.
  • 4 bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
  • 5 drain and set aside.
  • 6 in saucepan, heat applesauce and red hots until candy is melted completely.
  • 7 add sauce to sausage balls and keep warm in a fondue pot or crockpot.
  • 8 serve with toothpicks.
