Shane's Goulash

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground deer meat
  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 2 large onions
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 (29 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 2 tablespoons italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon seasoning salt
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni

Recipe

  • 1 in a large pot, brown the deer and lamb.
  • 2 spoon off excess grease, but do not drain completely.
  • 3 add onions and cook until tender.
  • 4 add 3 cups water,tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, garlic, italian seasoning, bay leaves, soy sause, salt, black pepper, garlic powder and seasoned salt.
  • 5 cook covered for 20-25 minutes.
  • 6 add the elbow macaroni, cover and continue to simmer for about 20 minutes.
  • 7 turn off the heat, remove the bay leaves and let sit about 30 minutes.
