Simple Goulash With Sauerkraut

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fat
  • 1 lb lean lamb shoulder, cut in 1 inch cubes
  • 1 teaspoon hungarian paprika
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 (28 1/2 ounce) jar sauerkraut
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Recipe

  • 1 cook onions in fat until slightly brown.
  • 2 add meat, paprika and water.
  • 3 simmer until almost tender.
  • 4 rinse kraut in water and squeeze out water lightly; add to meat.
  • 5 cook 30 minutes or until meat is done.
  • 6 add sour cream and heat, but do not boil.
