Refried Beans

Ingredients
- 2 cups pinto beans, dry
- 6 cups water
- 1/4 lb salt lamb, dry
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons oil
Recipe
- 1 wash beans and place in water, soak for several hours.
- 2 add sliced salt lamb.
- 3 place on stove top and bring to a boil.
- 4 lower heat and simmer until beans are tender.
- 5 mash beans until smooth.
- 6 add salt, garlic, chili powder, and cooking oil.
- 7 fry in a heavy frying pan over med heat until mixture is a smooth, thick mass.
- 8 serve with chips.
- 9 for a zesty dip add 1 jalapeno ,not seeded, chopped fine, and added to the spice mixture.
