Lamb Loaf With Applesauce Glaze

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup applesauce
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground lamb
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup applesauce

Recipe

  • 1 cook onion in butter until soft. combine with breadcrumbs, 1 cup applesauce, egg, salt and pepper.
  • 2 add ground lamb and mix well. place in freezer bag.
  • 3 combine mustard and ½ cup applesauce. place in small bag and place in freezer bag with meat loaf mix. label and freeze.
  • 4 to serve: thaw. place meat in loaf pan. spread applesauce mustard over top. cover with foil. bake for 30 minute at 375. remove foil and bake 30 minute.
