Lamb Marsala

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 8 fast fry lamb loin
  • 1 teaspoon salt, and
  • pepper
  • 2 tablespoons flour, plus
  • 1 teaspoon flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 large shallot, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 6 ounces button mushrooms, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried italian herb seasoning
  • 1/2 cup sweet marsala wine
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup water

Recipe

  • 1 sprinkle lamb with salt and pepper.
  • 2 dredge in flour .in a skillet,heat oil,cook lamb ,in batches and turning once,until just a hint of pink.transfer to plate.
  • 3 saute shallot and garlic until soft.add mushroom,italian seasoning saute until golden
  • 4 add marsala,cook until reduce by half.add broth and 1/4 cup of water,simmer until reduced by half.
  • 5 meanwhile make a paste with the butter and flour stir into sauce and cook until thickened.return lamb to pan and heat through about 5-7 minutes.
