Lamb Stew (irish Strudels)

Ingredients

- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 large boneless lamb chops, cubed
- 3 large potatoes, cubed
- 6 mushrooms, sliced
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 teaspoon garlic
- salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
- basil
- water, to cover
- 4 -5 eggs
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
Recipe
- 1 melt butter in large pot.
- 2 saute garlic, onion & potatos for 5 minutes.
- 3 add lamb and brown.
- 4 transfer ingredients into large roaster & add mushrooms, frozen peas,spices and enough water to cover about two inches from top. cover.
- 5 place in a 350 degree oven and cook for 1 hour.
- 6 prepare strudels.
- 7 beat eggs & salt together in large bowl.
- 8 slowly add enough flour until dough comes away from the sides of bowl but is still slightly sticky.
- 9 knead dough on a flour board for 3 minutes.
- 10 roll dough out until about an inch thick.
- 11 grease dough with butter.
- 12 cut dough into two inch strips and roll into noodles.
- 13 15 minutes before serving place studels into stew making sure they are covered by liquid in stew. cover.
- 14 when done remove noodles onto a plate.
- 15 serve stew and enjoy both.
- 16 if stew is still too thin a rue of butter and flour can be added to thicken it.
