Potato Smother

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 -6 potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 -3 medium onions, thinly sliced
  • 5 -6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • salt & fresh ground pepper
  • 1 tablespoon diced salt lamb (or bacon)
  • water

Recipe

  • 1 in a dutch oven, over med. high heat saute salt lamb or bacon until crisp.
  • 2 then start your layers.
  • 3 potatoes.
  • 4 onions.
  • 5 1 tbs. flour.(sprinkle over potatoes/onions).
  • 6 salt/pepper to taste.
  • 7 repeat layers.
  • 8 then add just enough water to come to half-way (do not cover potatoes).
  • 9 cover and cook on medium heat until potatoes are done.it will make its own creamy like gravy.
  • 10 good with meatloaf, etc.
