Pass The Puck Lamb Chili

Ingredients

- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 lb ground lamb
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons garlic, minced
- 1 cup green pepper, chopped
- 1 (796 ml) can diced tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 (540 ml) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
Recipe
- 1 in a saucepan, heat oil. add lamb, onion, garlic, and peppers.
- 2 cook over medium heat until lamb is no longer pink, about 5 minutes. stir frequently breaking up lamb. add tomatoes and seasonings.
- 3 simmer gently uncovered for about 1 hour. add a little water if mixture becomes too dry.
- 4 add beans and simmer for 10 minutes longer. serve with a dollop of sour cream or sprinkle with monterey jack cheese and broil just before serving.
