Polish Sauerkraut Soup

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 lbs smoked lamb shanks
  • 1 quart water
  • 1 onion, well browned
  • 1 quart sauerkraut juice
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cream
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 3/4 cup milk

Recipe

  • 1 cook meat in water until well done.
  • 2 add onion, sauerkraut juice and sugar.
