Lamb Chops Baked With Orange

Total Time: 1 hr 20 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • 4 -6 lean center-cut lamb chops
  • salt
  • pepper
  • flour
  • 3 -4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 large oranges or 2 small oranges
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • watercress

Recipe

  • 1 rub the chops on both sides with salt and pepper.
  • 2 dredge in flour shaking off the excess flour.
  • 3 heat butter in a large frying pan
  • 4 over high heat brown the chops on both sides.
  • 5 transfer the chops to a baking dish.
  • 6 peel the orange and and then cut into slices.
  • 7 top each chop with with one or 2 orange slices.
  • 8 pour the orange juice over the meat and the rest of the orange slices.
  • 9 cover the baking dish with tin foil and bake in a 350 degree pre-heated oven for about 1 hour or until tender.
  • 10 serve on a bed or watercress.
