Lamb Chops A L'orange

Ingredients

- 4 lamb loin chops (approx. 1 lb)
- 1 1/2 tablespoons flour
- 2 teaspoons seasoning salt
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 4 cloves
- 4 thin orange slices
- 2 cups cold water
Recipe
- 1 trim excess fat from chops.
- 2 combine flour, seasoning salt, curry, paprika, salt and pepper.
- 3 save 1 t of this mixture [and set aside for later].
- 4 coat chops evenly in remaining flour mixture.
- 5 brown chops in vegetable oil in fry pan.
- 6 add orange juice and cloves.
- 7 simmer covered 45 minutes or until tender, turning chops and orange slices to serving platter.
- 8 blend reserved flour into 2 t cold water.
- 9 pour slowly into frying pan, stirring constantly.
- 10 cook and stir until smoothly thickened.
- 11 spoon sauce over chops.
