Lamb Chop Consomme

Total Time: 1 hr 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 -6 lamb chops
  • 2 (10 1/2 ounce) cans beef consomme
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 cups brown rice
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • salt
  • pepper
  • garlic powder

Recipe

  • 1 sprinkle chops with a little salt, pepper and garlic powder.
  • 2 dredge chops in flour and set aside.
  • 3 pour oil into large skillet and cook the chops in hot oil until golden brown on both sides.
  • 4 set chops aside.
  • 5 spray baking dish with non stick spray.
  • 6 combine beef consomme,4 cups of water and rice into baking dish.
  • 7 sprinkle salt and pepper and stir with a fork.
  • 8 add chops to rice mix.
  • 9 cover with foil and bake at 350 for 40 minutes.
  • 10 take out of oven and remove foil.
  • 11 stir in 2 tablespoon of butter.
  • 12 bake an additional 30 minutes or until rice is done. additional water may need to be added.
