Lamb Chops In Apple Cream Sauce

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 lamb loin chops
  • 2 medium red cooking apples, peeled and quartered
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon instant chicken bouillon granules
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 brown lamb chops in oil over medium high heat, remove.
  • 2 add apples and onions, saute until apple is tender, remove apple and reserve.
  • 3 add apple juice, bouillon granules, thyme and lamb chops, bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes.
  • 4 add apple and simmer until heated through.
  • 5 remove apple and chops to a serving platter.
  • 6 add cream, bring to a boil and cook until sauce is slightly reduced.
  • 7 season to taste and pour over chops.
