Lamb Chops In Brew

Total Time: 8 hrs 20 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 8 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 6 lamb chops, 3/4 inch thick
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon instant chicken bouillon granules
  • 12 ounces beer (1 1/2 cups)
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed thyme leaves
  • 1/3 cup cold water
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 salt and pepper lamb chops; sear over high heat until browned.
  • 2 place chops in crockpot; lay sliced onions over lamb chops.
  • 3 dissolve chicken bouillon in beer; stir in thyme leaves; pour over lamb chops.
  • 4 cover and cook on low heat setting for 8-10 hours.
  • 5 for gravy: skim fat from cooking liquid; place cooking liquid in a saucepan.
  • 6 in a jar or gravy shaker, combine cold water with flour.
  • 7 whisk into cooking liquid, stirring constantly until it comes to a boil; boil 1-2 minutes.
  • 8 serve over rice, noodles, or mashed potatoes.
