Lamb Chops In Mushroom Gravy

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 6 lamb chops
  • 2/3 cup flour
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 2/3 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup dry red wine
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

Recipe

  • 1 combine flour, salt and pepper and dredge lamb chops in the mixture.
  • 2 melt butter in large skillet and brown lamb chops on each side.
  • 3 remove chops from skillet.
  • 4 saute onion, garlic and mushrooms in same skillet.
  • 5 add leftover flour that was used to coat chops, then add milk, wine and thyme.
  • 6 simmer until mixture starts to thicken.
  • 7 return chops to pan and cover.
  • 8 simmer for 30 minutes or until chops are done.
