Lamb Chops In Mushroom Gravy

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 6 lamb chops
- 2/3 cup flour
- salt and pepper
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 2/3 cups milk
- 1/4 cup dry red wine
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
Recipe
- 1 combine flour, salt and pepper and dredge lamb chops in the mixture.
- 2 melt butter in large skillet and brown lamb chops on each side.
- 3 remove chops from skillet.
- 4 saute onion, garlic and mushrooms in same skillet.
- 5 add leftover flour that was used to coat chops, then add milk, wine and thyme.
- 6 simmer until mixture starts to thicken.
- 7 return chops to pan and cover.
- 8 simmer for 30 minutes or until chops are done.
