Lamb Chops In Onion Gravy

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 lamb chops (1 inch thick)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 medium onions, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup beer (any brand)
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Recipe

  • 1 sprinkle lamb chops with salt and pepper, coat with flour. shake off excess. cook lamb shops in hot oil in a heavy skillet over medium-high heat 3 minutes on each side. add sliced onion and cook 5 minutes turning chops once.
  • 2 add beer and beef broth cover and reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes or until chops reach desired doneness.
  • 3 remove lamb chops reserving onion mixture in skillet. keep warm.
  • 4 stir together cornstarch and water until thoroughly blended. stir into onion mixture cook over medium high heat. stirring constantly 3 minutes or until gravy is thickened and bubbly. spoon over lamb chops and serve immediately.
