Lamb Chops And Scalloped Potatoes

Total Time: 3 hrs 40 mins Preparation Time: 40 mins Cook Time: 3 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 5 lbs potatoes, peeled and sliced thin
  • 6 tablespoons butter or 6 tablespoons margarine
  • 6 tablespoons flour
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 cups milk
  • 4 -6 boneless center cut lamb chops or 4 -6 boneless lamb chops

Recipe

  • 1 melt butter in a 2 qt sauce pan over medium heat whisk in flour and stir until smooth.
  • 2 season with salt and pepper and cook for 1 minute.
  • 3 gradually add milk, stir constantly until mixture boils.
  • 4 boil for 1 minute.
  • 5 pour mixture over potatoes, mix well, ensuring all potatoes are coated.
  • 6 spray a 4 qt casserole dish with non-stick spray.
  • 7 place a layer of potatoes in bottom of dish.
  • 8 top with 2-3 lamb chops cover with another layer of potatoes.
  • 9 top with 2-3 lamb chops.
  • 10 cover with a layer of potatoes bake covered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
  • 11 remove cover and bake for 1-1/2 to 2 hours or until potatoes are fork tender.
