Lamb Chops In Tea Berry Sauce

Ingredients

- 2 lbs lamb chops
- 2 teaspoons black pepper
- 1 tablespoon dill weed
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 black tea bag
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup jam, your choice of fruit
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 325.
- 2 rub the chops with pepper, garlic powder, and dill.
- 3 heat oil in an oven proof skillet, add the lamb and brown on all sides.
- 4 cut open the tea bag (or just use the same amount of loose tea).
- 5 add the onions, tea and 1/2 cup water.
- 6 cover and cook for 1 hour.
- 7 remove lamb from oven, remove the lamb chops and onions from pan. cover the lamb, to keep warm.
- 8 heat the liquid, bring to a boil, and reduce to 1/2 cup, about 10 minutes.
