Lamb Chops In Tea Berry Sauce

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 lbs lamb chops
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon dill weed
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 black tea bag
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup jam, your choice of fruit
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 325.
  • 2 rub the chops with pepper, garlic powder, and dill.
  • 3 heat oil in an oven proof skillet, add the lamb and brown on all sides.
  • 4 cut open the tea bag (or just use the same amount of loose tea).
  • 5 add the onions, tea and 1/2 cup water.
  • 6 cover and cook for 1 hour.
  • 7 remove lamb from oven, remove the lamb chops and onions from pan. cover the lamb, to keep warm.
  • 8 heat the liquid, bring to a boil, and reduce to 1/2 cup, about 10 minutes.
