Ingredients

- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 cup maple syrup
- 2/3 cup wine
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 garlic cloves (crushed)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons dried basil
- 3/4 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 (6 ounce) lamb chops
Recipe
- 1 combine ketchup, maple syrup, wine, water, beef bouillon, bay leaf, garlic, basil, thyme, mustard, salt, pepper and ginger in a medium saucepan.
- 2 stir well.
- 3 bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 30 minutes.
- 4 remove bay leaf.
- 5 remove from heat.
- 6 meanwhile preheat oven to 375°f.
- 7 lightly brush oil onto both sides of lamb chops.
- 8 place lamb chops into 13x9x2-inch baking dish.
- 9 bake for 30 minutes.
- 10 remove from oven, pour sauce over lamb.
- 11 bake uncovered for 15 to 20 minutes more, basting a few times with sauce.
