Lamb Chops In Wine

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 2 lean lamb chops
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 teaspoon bacon grease
  • 2 teaspoons flour
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (boil 1 bouillon cube in 1 cup of water)
  • 1/2 cup dry wine
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms

Recipe

  • 1 season chops with salt and pepper.
  • 2 brown slowly on both sides in hot bacon grease.
  • 3 remove from skillet.
  • 4 stirring constantly, blend flour into grease.
  • 5 add broth and wine.
  • 6 when very smooth, return chops to skillet.
  • 7 spread onion and mushrooms over chops.
  • 8 cover skillet and simmer about 45 minutes turning once during cooking.
