Slow Cooker Savory Cranberry Lamb Butt Roast

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (i use wesson best blend)
- 4 lbs lamb butt (with bone)
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can whole berry cranberry sauce
- 1 cup orange marmalade or 1 cup apple jelly
- 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
- 1 1/2 teaspoons chicken soup base or 4 chicken bouillon cubes
- 1 teaspoon prepared horseradish
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
Recipe
- 1 heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
- 2 quickly sear each side of the roast in the hot oil, about 1 minute each side.
- 3 place the roast in your slow cooker, fat side up.
- 4 if using bouillon, crush the cubes.
- 5 combine the cranberry sauce, orange marmalade, mustard, soup base/bouillon, horseradish, garlic powder, and thyme.
- 6 spoon the sauce over the lamb roast.
- 7 cover and cook on low 8 -10 hours.
