Lamb Chops In Orange Sauce

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 50 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 lamb chops
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 2 oranges

Recipe

  • 1 coat lamb chops in seasoned flour.
  • 2 heat butter in large frying pan and brown chops well on both sides.
  • 3 arrange in casserole dish.
  • 4 combine sugar, ginger, grated rind and the juice of the oranges and pour over chops.
  • 5 cover and bake at 180º for 45-50 minutes.
  • 6 turn during cooking and add water if necessary.
  • 7 nb:- i like to serve these with rice but it is also nice served with salad, coleslaw or winter veggies.
